Body Detox - Are you doing it right?

Feeling sluggish or out of energy?
Struggling with skin problems, aches and pains, or digestive problems?
Can't seem to lose weight?

It might be time for a body detox.

Practiced for centuries by cultures around the world — including ayurvedic and Chinese medicine systems — detoxification is about resting, cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. By removing and eliminating toxins, then feeding your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health.

How does detoxification work?

Basically, detoxification means cleaning the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities aren't properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.

There are many detox programs, products and herbal teas that may help the body's natural cleansing process. However, the evidence shows that it is not important about what programs to choose, but choose the right program to be used at the right time. Most of the detox products, no matter what ingredients they are consist of, are designed for the day use. In fact, detoxification at night is far more important than just a few times of nourishing boosting and energy stimulation to the body during the day.

Our body naturally detox ourselves; and more importantly, 90% of such processes are actually conducted at night while human body is deeply at sleep.

Lets take a look when our body actually detox ourselves:

9-11 pm

At this time, daily detoxification time of your immune system (lymph) takes place. It is important to relax or listen to some soft music.

11 pm til 1 am

This is the period in which your liver cleanses itself, which takes place while you are sleeping deeply.

1-3 am

During this time, the gallbladder detoxifies itself, which also takes place during a period of deep sleep.

3-5 am

This is the state wherein the lungs detoxify. You may cough a bit; if you have a chronic cough, you normally experience the strongest symptoms during this time, due to the detoxification process that has reached your lungs. Taking medicines at this time is not recommended, because it would inhibit the detox process during which the waste sediments are excreted from the system.

5 - 7 am

The large intestine cleanses itself in this time frame. That’s why it is recommend to go to the bathroom in the morning after waking up.

7 - 9 am

The small intestine follows the large intestine. This is the reason we eat breakfast Ideally, if you take medication, breakfast before 6:30 a.m. is recommended. If you are on a diet, breakfast before 6:30am is also recommended. If you don’t eat breakfast, you should seriously consider beginning to do so on a daily basis. It is better to eat something before 9 or 10am than eating nothing at all.

Finally, and most importantly, from midnight to 4:00 am is what is called the hematopoietic. Deep sleep is necessary for this to be effective.

It is as simple as that, poor sleep interrupt your body detoxing process, which causes serious problems. In the other way, "when your sleep is fine, your everything will be fine". A detox program is about naturally stimulating body's detoxing processes. A good detox program is about naturally stimulating such process at the right time when the body 'wants' and 'needs' to be stimulated.
